Delete your account

This page explains how to delete your Tamu Deals account and what happens to your data. Tamu Deals is operated by Tamu Deals (“we”, “us”) and is available as a mobile app (iOS, Android) and on the web.

Delete from inside the app

  1. Open the Tamu Deals app and sign in.
  2. Go to the Profile tab.
  3. Tap Settings, then Delete account.
  4. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

Delete by request

If you can't access the app or prefer to email us, send a deletion request from the email address associated with your account to support@tamu.ca. Use the subject line “Delete my account” and include the phone number or username on the account so we can locate it. We will confirm completion by email.

What gets deleted

  • Your account and authentication record (phone number, sign-in history).
  • Your profile (display name, username, profile photo).
  • Deals and flyers you submitted.
  • Comments and votes you posted.
  • Images you uploaded to your deals or profile.

What may be retained

  • Anonymized, aggregated analytics (e.g. total view counts on a deal) that no longer identify you.
  • Records we are required to keep to comply with legal, tax, or fraud-prevention obligations.
  • Backups, which are purged on a rolling schedule (typically within 30 days of deletion).

Subscriptions

Deleting your Tamu Deals account does not automatically cancel any active subscription purchased through the App Store or Google Play. To cancel a subscription, manage it from your Apple ID subscriptions or Google Play subscriptions page before requesting deletion.

Timeline

Account and profile data are removed immediately on confirmation. Associated content and uploaded files are removed within 30 days. Backups are purged on a rolling schedule, also within 30 days.
